Muhanga Teacher Training College (TTC) is a premier teacher education institution located in Muhanga District, Southern Province of Rwanda. Established to serve Rwanda's national development goals, our college prepares digitally competent, innovative, and community-centered teachers for the nation.
Our history →Muhanga Teacher Training College was established in 1990 under the stewardship of the Anglican Church of Rwanda in partnership with the Rwandan government. Originally founded as a primary teacher training school, the college has undergone profound transformation over three decades of dedicated service.
Following Rwanda's national recovery in the late 1990s, Muhanga TTC played a crucial role in rebuilding the nation's teaching workforce — training teachers who carried the spirit of reconciliation, unity, and excellence into classrooms across all 30 districts.
Through partnerships with REB and MINEDUC, Muhanga TTC upgraded to degree-level teacher training in 2015, becoming one of the first institutions in Rwanda to offer Bachelor of Education degrees.
